Prepare for Your Certification Exam

Important notice for internationally educated candidates:

Please be advised that the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) no longer offers a pathway for foreign-trained candidates to challenge the national certification exam. At this time, only graduates of a CSCT-recognized educational program are eligible to apply. We encourage prospective applicants to explore accredited programs found here to meet the current eligibility requirements.

Exam Information

Exam Fee: $600 
Please note this fee is applicable for each individual exam attempt (i.e., first time, rewrites, reinstatement, and foreign trained candidates).
 

Important Dates (tentative)

Registration opens: February 4, 2026
Registration deadline: February 17, 2026 at 1700h Pacific
Supporting document deadline: February 24, 2026 at 1700h Pacific
Final withdrawal date without penalty: March 21, 2026 at 1700h Pacific
Exam dates: May 4th & 5th, 2026

Please adhere to the deadlines listed above. There will be no exceptions for late registrations.

Exam Application Process

1. Register for the exam click here.
2. Once your registration form is submitted, an invoice will be populated for you to pay the $600 fee.
3. If a special accommodation was requested, you must provide supporting documentation at the time of application. Supporting documents include a valid doctor’s note obtained within the last two years outlining what accommodations are required in English. This documentation must be emailed to educationdirector@csct.ca directly after paying the exam fee. Special accommodations may be subject to an additional fee to be determined by the exam delivery company which you will be invoiced for prior to challenging the exam.
4. You must now provide proof of graduation from a CSCT-approved college by scanning a copy of your diploma and emailing it to educationdirector@csct.ca by the documentation deadline listed above.
   *If you will not have your diploma before the supporting document deadline, your school will provide the CSCT with a list of students eligible to write the exam.

Once your application, payment and documents have been received, you will receive an email from CSCT confirming your eligibility to challenge the exam after the supporting document deadline.

You will create a username and password in order to login. 
*Please note – this username and password is different and separate from the password you will use to access the certification exam.  

Exam Sitting Booking

CSCT’s exam delivery company will contact exam candidates via email with instructions on how to book your online exam sitting.
