Foreign-trained Cardiology Technologist Application
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT). In order to do so, you must first be deemed eligible to write the CSCT certification exam, and if eligible, you must obtain the pass mark of the exam.
If you wish to apply for eligibility as a foreign trained cardiology technologist or physician, you must meet ALL competencies of the CSCT National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP) in the required performance environment.
In order to be deemed eligible as a foreign trained cardiology technologist or physician, you must have been performing diagnostic testing in ECG’s (EKG’s), Ambulatory Monitoring and scanning, as well as Exercise Tolerance Testing for the last 6 years on a consistent basis.

Foreign-trained Cardiology Technologists can access a Profile set up by the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials (CICIC). The website is CICIC Fact Sheet, which has been compiled to help individuals learn more about how to obtain an assessment of their qualifications for employment purposes in Canada.
Foreign trained is described as a person who receives their education as well as their appropriate work experience in any other country outside of Canada.
